Dancers Should Be Treated With Respect- Kaffi
Dance is a performing art that involves movement of the body rhythmically. This art, has over the years evolved since its discovery and has allowed individuals to express themselves: also give a feel of social connection by following their heart when listening to appealing sounds. It’s known to be part of life as these movements are instinctive and never forced.
In music videos, artistes introduce dancers to add “Life” to their music videos and even, achieve mind blowing performances during their rendition of hit songs on stage. The effects dancers have while moving their body rhythmically to tunes gives audience a better feel of the performance.
To produce an impressive show, they rehearse for long hours to perfectly get a rhythmic pattern for each songs. To go through this stress and not perform leads to outmost disappointment of the dancers, this was the same that happened at the Three Thrones Music Concert.
Over 60 dancers spent over 2 weeks practicing moves and steps for the main event. A few of them perform with Phyno and over 50 of them performed alongside the queen to raise the bar to the next level. Skelewu crooner Davido took the tempo higher but surprisingly came out with no dancers. This remained the same all through the performance, though there were side attractions like Princess and Eniola Badmus joining him to perform and act to his hit single Dodo.
Days after the event, Lead dancer Kaffi blasted the DMW label owner for disregarding dancers and after they have rehearsed for weeks, he decided not to allow them perform. She said “From all dancers all around the country who have sweated one day or the other when he was still rising up as a star, for him to fire dancers when they are about to climb the stage after he has agreed to put them on stage telling them he doesn’t need dancers when they are ready on stage, that is unethical and unprofessional” Over 50 to 60 dancers practice for you, after collecting millions for a show and the dancers collect tiny stipend for the same show.
She posted another video 3 hours later on her Instagram page to apologize for the things she said:
Davido is yet to respond to this as at the time of this report.
