It’s Good to Promote African Culture | Eniola Badmus

Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus who is garnering strong brand endorsement deals as a result of her impact in the entertainment industry, in an interview with HipTv, talks about the importance of promoting African culture through movie.

In her words;

“You can’t just continue to be like someone else. You have to rep who you are. You have to rep yourself. When you rep yourself, it takes you out there. People tend to say ‘what is, what is this’. So I think it’s excellent for me.” The actress who shot to limelight in 2008 after starring in the film Jenifa further shared this on being herself in movies, “When you say ‘Africanness’, it goes along with realness, because when you are a typical African, you don’t fake anything, trust me. I think that has been applicable to me too. I don’t fake it, I come out the way it is and of course, I bring out good things that you want to laugh and say Eniola has done her best. I come out like me cos I rep myself. That’s it”
