Audi Celebrates N24 Win with Special R8

To rejoice the victory of the Audi R8 LMS at the Nürburgring 24 Hours last year, Audi has now launched a special edition of the Audi R8, the “Audi R8 V10 plus selection 24h”. It’s based on the already great Audi R8 V10 plus, but has a number of additional special bits to make this 24-unit limited edition run a little more special.

It sports a 5.2-litre V10 mid-engine 610 hp, and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h(62.1 mph) in just 3.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 330km/h (205.1 mph). This beast is the fastest and most powerful car by Audi of all time. 

The power is distributed fully variably between its wheels by the newly engineered quattro drive. Its aerodynamically engineered design and superior suspension are designed to handle extreme down forces, also the Audi virtual cockpit draws inspiration from motor sports.

A ton of the aerodynamic and bodywork bits get carbon fiber; there’s a special paint job with R8 24h markings; and, in a feature exclusive to this car, entry lights project the R8 logo on the pavement when you unlock the doors. Available only in Germany, the R8 24h has a price tage of $260,000, which is $45,000 more than the standard R8 V10 plus.
